Lynn Staley, Ed. D., is a professor of Early Childhood Education in the department of Elementary Education at Ball State University, Muncie, IN. Since 1994, her college teaching has focused on preparing pre-service teachers to teach kindergarten and to partner with families. Prior to serving as a teacher educator, Staley also taught public and private kindergarten for ten years and served as the director of Park Place Church of God Children’s Center in Anderson, IN for five years.

Dr. Staley has earned the Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers award (2005), the Outstanding Service Award from BSU Teachers College (2004), the Certificate of Special United States Congressional Recognition (2002), and the Outstanding Teaching Award from BSU Teachers College (2001). She has published many articles, most of which focus on the implementation of best practice in the classroom. A full list of Staley’s publications is available here.
